My client Sophie had been an Open Member with us for years before committing to our Private Membership. She had a friendship with our founder, and when she joined our proactive service, I was entrusted to hopefully deliver Sophie’s ideal match.
She had been in relationships through us before, but this time she was ready to be in the driver’s seat. Sophie was in her late 30s, had lived internationally, came from an established family background, is a successful entrepreneur, and is a true gem inside and out. She wanted to find her life partner, get married, and start a family.
Historically, she had typically dated gentlemen a little older than her who were established in their careers, ideally from a similar family background, and who had international elements in their lives. I focused her search accordingly. However, despite meeting several men who “ticked the boxes”, none sparked a romantic connection with longevity.

A year and a half later, they are engaged, living together with his dog, house-hunting, and planning their wedding for next year. Originally from Virginia, USA, Grace spent much of her early life along the East Coast before moving to California to pursue her undergraduate studies. She later relocated to London, where she spent five years working as a Matchmaker in Maclynn’s UK office. She has since returned to the United States, bringing her international experience and expertise to her current role as Membership Manager and Matchmaker.
Grace holds a First-Class Honours degree in Psychology and a Master of Science in Psychology. She has a particular interest in attachment styles, relationship communication, and the psychological dynamics that shape romantic connections. Combining her academic background with extensive practical matchmaking experience, she brings a thoughtful, intuitive, and empathetic perspective to her work.
Known for her warmth and personable approach, Grace is dedicated to understanding each member’s individual needs, ensuring they feel supported, understood, and confident as they begin their matchmaking journey.
