Can you guess this year’s post pandemic hottest pickup line? “I’m vaccinated!”
While many of us are emerging from the pandemic eager to make up for lost time and full of plans for the Hot Vax Summer (yes, it’s a thing), some of us might still have anxieties about “returning to normal” and feel a little socially inept after all this time alone.
Our recommendation on how to work your way through those feelings is by choosing quality dates, over quantity dates!
Here are some of our hot tips on how to plan, and stick to quality dates this summer….
Plan in Advance
As the world reopens it might be difficult to navigate through all the exciting post-pandemic possibilities and keep track of what is and isn’t available to you in your city. Keep in mind that some states, cities and/or locations may have differing regulations, and it’s important to do some research and confirm beforehand. Some questions you may consider looking into when planning a date could be:
- Did my favorite restaurant reopen?
- Is there a time limit associated per outing?
- Do they require a reservation?
- Are they still operating at 50% capacity?
- Are my go-to last minute places still an option to consider? Or do they have stricter regulations than usual?
In our opinion, planning in advance is key to preventing any awkward situations from occurring while you re-enter the dating scene!
Choose the Right Date Venue
You might be seemingly ready to jump right into a redo of the roaring ’20s… but your eagerness to hit the bars may not be the best option for a post-pandemic date… especially a first date! We recommend to take advantage of all the outdoor options that are available to you in the summer. Outdoor dates tend to be more relaxed and require less pressure when planning around regulations. You can let your creativity shine by planning an outdoor picnic in the park or a cool hiking date.
Keep It Interesting
We were all stuck inside for so long, that any type of live entertainment (however small it might be), in addition to your regular drink or dinner plans would, definitely be a welcome addition! If you’re local to NYC, you will have seen that some restaurants started getting creative by offering live entertainment shows to their guests – flamenco, comedy shows, DJs, jazz, etc. You could never go wrong with incorporating a mixology class or a little wine tasting into your date either.
Let a Date Planner Curate Your Next Date
It might be difficult to navigate through all the post-pandemic activities that your city has to offer… So why not hand the job over to some pretty spectacular date curators to help you? The perks about letting an expert handle all the details for your date is they know all the best restaurants and things to do in your city because they’ve done them for hundreds of others! They’ll also be able to take the stress out of the process for you, so all you have to do is show up and enjoy yourself!
