Spend a day strolling along the wooden planks, taking in stunning views of the ocean. Stop for an ice cream cone or lunch at one of the many restaurants located along the waterfront. You can even take a romantic horse and carriage ride through town!

Skratch Kitchen is an Italian restaurant which we cannot recommend enough! The food is fresh, homemade and delicious. Perfect for a romantic dinner! If you’re in the mood for seafood, check out Watermark for a waterfront dining experience. You can enjoy oysters and other seafood specialties while watching the boats on the marina.
Another Italian delight is Brando’s Citi Cucina, where you can sample traditional Italian favorites like pizzas, pastas and more. Here the service is wonderful, and you really feel like you’re being hosted and looked after. The food uses the freshest ingredients, with them describing the menu as being ‘soulfully Italian’. It also has it’s own unique atmosphere, with music ranging from R&B to Frank Sinatra, and films being played over the bar. It’s a great spot for a dinner date!
No trip to Asbury Park would be complete without a stop at Stella Marina Bar and restaurant. The food is out of this world. Enjoy their signature mussels, or try one of the many Neapolitan-style pizzas. The atmosphere is cozy, with a relaxed vibe. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy a romantic dinner together.
If you prefer sushi, then you can’t miss Taka. It’s an omakase-style sushi restaurant which uses only the freshest ingredients. The chefs serve up amazing delicacies like fresh toro, uni and salmon. Enjoy a romantic dinner watching the chefs prepare your food right in front of you.
If you’re looking for a typical New Jersey style bakery, perfect for a coffee stop, Del Ponte’s Bakery located in Bradley Beach is the place to go. The pastries are made fresh daily, and they have all the favorites from black-and-white cookies to cannolis. Pair one with a cup of gourmet coffee or tea for the ultimate indulgence.

For pre of post dinner drinks, Asbury park has a number of different options. We love Barrio Costero. Here you’ll find an extensive cocktail list, and also a variety of beers and wines, perfect for enjoying whilst taking in the atmosphere.
Drinks spots in Asbury park don’t come much better than The Asbury, located right in the heart of downtown. Enjoy craft cocktails and small plates while listening to live music.
